Well the match with TCC didn't ended the way we expected but it seems that all the teams and umpires in Finland didn't want HCC to reach Finals. We never complain about the empires-I think its the right to complain about things. Zahoor: Was given LBB even though the bowl clearly hit the bat and then pad. Zahid: LBW -no body knows why and how he was given. Vicky:Clearly three mitres down the crease and the bowler was bowling the leg spin. Ghoni:Was given the run out even thoug the TCC captain himself accepted he was not out. How can any team win when Empires instead of fairplay keep the team and personal rivalries in mind. Ansar and Yasir -lets get matured and play the cricket with spirit and fairness!!

CONGRATS TO ALL HCC TEAMMATES FOR PUTTING UP A GOOD FIGHT AND BEATING ALL RELEVANT TEAMS ON THE WAY TO THE SEMIS !!!
So what if we lost one match (silverware is not the only way to determine champions) and dont feel low, chin up guys!
Would anyone dispute the fact that the South Africans under Hansie deserved to win the World Cup? I dont think anybody would. Similarily we deserved to win, nahin hua koi gam nahi..

Come on guys. What ever happened to the art of losing gracefully? You lost this match because of your abject failure to get Turku out for less than 200 after having them at 24 for 4. Is that the kind of performance that wins a semi-final? On the day, you were just not good enough, and Turku rose to the occasion with a superior will to win and team spirit.
What cricket match was ever decided without a couple of 'questionable' decisions. Every season, every team benefits from and suffers from such decisions, and Helsinki is no exception! I remember in the first ever SM final in 1999, HCC against Turku, Turku lost its first crucial wicket given caught behind when the keeper didn't even hold on to the ball!
As for the individual points raised - a) the guy who was given LBW to the leg spinner (it wasn't Vicky), it was his back foot that was hit and this was about 50 cm right in front of the stumps. What option did the umpire have?! As for the run out, true Paul did not have the ball in his hands, but it was the ball that dislodged the bails, not his hand!
As for the abuse that I heard being thrown at the umpires after the game, that was a disgrace, and no true cricketer should ever indulge in that kind of behaviour.
At the end of the day, 'the spirit of cricket' is seriously lacking at some SM-liiga clubs and something needs to be done about that.

Dear OtherGuest Well you are right Turku deserved the win-they played better than us and probably it wasn't our Day.May be we should have done something more-- played more as a team-but thats just one aspect of the game.A coin has two sides-- and let me refresh your memory it was the left arm spinner who got Vicky LBD.I'm sure you have played alongwith Vicky and he's a guy who will never complain if he thinkgs the decision was correct. What about the decision for shahids caught behind-i dont understand how can a leg umpire see caught behind more clearly than the main umpire-i'm not complaining whether he was out or not out-but just a simple logical thinker is wise enough to answer that. And regarding run out-- my dear may be you better ask the TCC players whether it was a runout.Ball was not in his hands and it was pouls hands which dislodged the bails.TCC players themselves accepted the fact after the game.
Now talking about the umpires abuse-yes its really sad that few people cannot control their emotions and sometimes go overboard.Probably it has to something to do with South Asian Blood and for that i'm sure FCA is taking notes of the situation and it has done the same in the past too. We HCC as a team tried our best to control and calm the situation. Also it wasn't only the HCC people who were making comments-A lot of people within the crowd complained and commented the umpires decisions.
And if you think that we disgraded the umpires, tell me where did the upmpire went when we came to the ground and congratulated TCC men.We heartly were welcoming and shaking hands with the TCC players and when the turn of the Empires came-they directly went to the dressing room without even shaking hands. Now where is the SPIRIT OF CRICKET within Umpires.May be should think beyond our personal EGO'S and respect the spirit of the game. And one should only talk about the Cricket Spirit, first by learning and implementing himself and then comment on others.
And yes to improve the level of cricket we all should try our best to help, promote and play within the SPIRIT of CRICKET. And friend my point is not to offend anyone but just to throw some light on the ground realities. Zahoor

Hi Zahoor
Thank you for your fair comments. I think everybody involved learned a lot from the events of the game, so hopefully we can all do our best to avoid the bad things happening in future.
Looking forward to a good game next season with all decisions gracefully accepted by both sides, no matter how they seem at the time. After all, if top-levl professionals whose lives depend on these decisions can manage to do that, we 'fun' players certainly can!
